How quiet is fiberglass...

The 5.4m Cox Craft Rum Runner II has been selected as our new film boat and she'll now be a regular sight around the Gold Coast, and other locations along the eastern seaboard.

Several runs in a Cox Craft Rum Runner II has left absolutely no doubt in my mind that the hulls well regarded blue water following is truely justified, as is her reputation for being one of the most affordable 'quality' Australian built boats of this size in the marketplace today.

Fiberglass has numerous benefits, it's durable, easy to repair, generally soft riding if incorporated into a good hull design, and quieter than any aluminium boat ever will be. The Rum Runner II has all of these attributes and is an extremely practical boat in size and function, ideally suited to both the blue water fishermen and those looking for a great allrounder. Its deep v hull slices through the water with ease, while the extremely deep freeboard provides a great sense of security for its occupants.
