Navman 8120 as selected by BoatTest.com.au
As used by Boat Test ! The 8120 is the low-profile, low power multifunction marine display or data-helm every fisherman, cruiser and sailor is calling for, integrating GPS, sonar, fuel management and video functionality into a daylight viewable high-resolution screen. The hardware is radar ready meaning that a simple software upgrade will enable radar display. (Radar available Oct 2006). Navman's 32 MB regional chart gets you started for navigation, or install C-Map's MAX technology for detailed chart data, value-added port info and land detail. The 8120 is equipped with a powerful 1 kW (RMS) sounder that automatically adjusts the output power (1 kW or 600 W) to match the wattage of the transducer. No black box required, just plug the transducer of choice directly into the 8120 and you're up and running. With an optional fuel transducer, you have on-demand access to your engine's fuel and performance data or complete SmartCraft™ functionality with an optional gateway (specific Mercury engines only). For the first time, Navman brings video to your helm. Hook a security camera up for live deck monitoring, engine room surveillance or underwater views. Or even run a DVD player or camcorder into the 8120 for entertainment benefits (a separate audio output device required). The 8120 integrates well with other on-board systems (instruments, DSC VHF) to provide your choice of full or split screen displays. The Navman 8120 is the complete helm solution.
